If OneNote keeps freezing and crashing, you might need to clear the cache. Please note this does not work for the 2016 version of OneNote.


Follow the steps below on your computer:


1. Right click on Windows Key (win 8) or left click on the start button (win 7)

2. Click “Run”

3. In the dialog box type – OneNote /safeboot


Run


4. Select CLEAR CACHE


5. Reopen notebooks

6. All your notebooks will have been closed. You will need to reopen ones that reside only on your computer or go to O365 to download class notebooks.
